PHILOSOPHY OF SERVICE

At Use Your Words Speech and Language Therapy Services, we believe that children make greater progress when they enjoy their therapy sessions. With this in mind, we engage children in fun and interesting therapy activities.  Our welcoming environment builds trust between the child and therapist. ​We provide individualized services for each child that revolve around the child’s unique strengths and challenges in the areas of communication. Therapy services can include both direct and indirect consultations. Direct therapy consists of individualized instruction for your child in a one to one setting.

Indirect therapy includes parent training sessions as well as consultations with educators and other professionals that provide service to the child.  Parental involvement is very important and the key to the child’s success. Following each therapy session, we give parents or caregivers a brief summary of the day’s work. We also provide families with activities that can be worked on at home.

Our philosophy is to provide evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and strategies that ensure our clients will make the maximum progress.  We want children to enjoy their therapy sessions which allows them to become active and focused participants in the learning process. Children that are having fun work harder, and make greater progress.
